Sitka 2 Publishing LLC was originally established in 2003 by owner and author Charles W. Hitz (Chaz) as a division of Hitzcomm LLC. It was reorganized in 2008, when Hitzcomm LLC was dissolved and Sitka 2 Pub

lishing was established as a sole publishing company. The owner is the author of all the books this company produces and publishes. The first book was published in 2003 entitled "Through the Rapids - This History of Princess Louisa Inlet". After the success of this book, the next book to be scheduled for released is entitled "Propellers, Pontoons, and Metalplanes - The Biography of
Thomas F. Hamilton". The majority of Mr. Hitz's books is non-fiction focusing on historical subjects of the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada, current and past aviation and transportation history, self help topics, Christian and spiritual books, poetry, children books, and fiction book.

The Sitka 2 Publishing name comes from the cabin (Sitka 2) the owner stayed in during his summer camp experience at
Young Life's Malibu Club in 1978 at the entrance of
Princess Louisa Inlet. The logo is derived from a litho of the island located at the entrance of Princess Louisa Inlet known as Malibu isle on nautical charts and indirectly called Forbidden Island by those at Malibu.
